Palm Reading

Night numero uno between Rita Mosquita and Moe Skeeter finally comes to a close. What's next? Will Moe meet up with Rita to drain the curator's blood at the art museum, or will he partake of a pesticidal phattie with the Surfer-On-Acid? Who knows? Maybe both! Only one sure way to find out. Come back next Friday (Thursday night for you early birds).

Also, La Vida Skeeter now has a facebook page. So, if you have a profile and dig the comic, become a fan! Don't be shy. I plan to put out some exclusives and extras through there.

Speaking of extras, I thought it'd be fun to show you how this week's comic came to be. Here's the initial brainstorming session out of my notebook. It's a mish-mash of rough storyboarding, several attempts at dialogue, and some doodling. This is the first step to every comic I put up. You can click on the image to get a bigger view if you would like (if not, keeping scrolling down for some more fun).

Also, since Thanksgiving is this week, I found another use for Moe's palm from today's strip:
A Hand Turkey (not to be confused with its cousins: the Jive Turkey and the Wild Turkey)!

My wife thinks it looks like the wrist is slit, so I just wanted to clarify that those were supposed to be veins that the pilgrim skeeter is drinking from. I know, either way, it's kind of a gorefest. I'd like to believe it's a cornacopia of iron-rich O-positive, and I think the skeeters are thankful for it. Hope you and yours have a happy Thanksgiving! I'm thankful to have great readers like you!

Cheers,
Lee
